When you create your drr listing, you select one of two standard cancellation policies: Flexible: 50% refund 7 days prior to arrival, except fees. Strict: no refund 7 days prior to arrival, except fees. Our company policy is No Refunds for same day reservation. Guests will be informed that most of the listings are not hotel rooms. They are privately managed rooms by private owners. Owners offer others for bookings that date and should not lose income due to a refund request on their drr that may have otherwise been rented.
We at drr devised this cancellation policy with both the guest and host in mind. We know our hosts have prepared and blocked off their calendar in anticipation for their drr guest. When cancellations occur, It can be very frustrating to both hosts and guests. Hosts have to be compensated for their time and effort in regards to preparing for their guests. drr guests are fully informed of the cancellation and refund options in their sign up and drr use agreement.
Remember, we want everybody to Win, so try not to cancel.
What Happens if the drr Host Cancels?
Good Question! drr Hosts have the right to cancel the reservation. Remember it’s their property and situations do arise.
We have a strict drr Cancellation Policy. Basically, it is 3 strikes and you are out! The reason behind the cancellation must be legitimate (refer to the drr Host Cancellation Policy) . If the reason does not fit our company criteria, then the drr host could be suspended from the site. Upon re-instatement, if unwarranted cancellations continue, then they may be suspended indefinitely.
The Best way to avoid this is just don’t cancel, and let’s all Win!
